The end is near

Finals are almost over! Yay! Michael and I both have 3 finals left, then graduation! If anyone would like to come the big commencement is on thursday at 4 in the Mariott Center; & then Michael is walking with me for the Visual Arts convocation (we thought it would be easier to just go to one graduation) on Friday at 11 am in the de Jong Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center. They aren't doing tickets this year...just first come first serve for seating.

Besides finals nothing much is going on, because really we don't have time for anything else. I am a little sad that I changed my major from a BFA though. All the people I have had my design classes with are applying for it and stressing out, and I am done! It's kind of bittersweet. I am done, but I would rather stay and stress out and finish the BFA. Oh, well. Life never goes as you planned right?

Anyway. I turned in a portfolio for my practicum class yesterday--one of my favorite classes, because we got to choose our own projects. I did some "hate cards". They aren't meant to be serious--they are more for people with a sarcastic, satirical sense of humor, to send to friends and get a laugh. They were a big hit. A classmate said I should market them and start a company doing stationary, which made my day since that is what I kind of want to do--stationary and invitations and stuff.

Parts are supposed to be die cut out...like the paper on the cupcake is supposed to be a hole. The left is the cover and the right is the inside. Anything on the cover that is the same color as the inside background is cut out. I hope that makes sense, and I hope no one is offended. They are funny...if you don't get it, maybe you're just getting too old...

Click to view them bigger...it's hard to read it when they are small.

So if everyone else jumped off a cliff...

I have noticed that Michael and I are not the best at emailing, calling, or just plain keeping in touch. A lot of people I know have started blogs...I figured why not? It seems to be a good way of letting people know what's going on, although we don't really do much. So, really you haven't missed out on much!

Right now we are just looking forward to finals and graduation. Michael and I are both walking in April (but Michael's actually finished and I will be done in June). The end of June we'll move all our stuff to Star Valley, Wyoming where we'll be for only 2 months. Then...Portland, Oregon...here we come! Michael has decided to go to Western States Chiropractic for his Doctorate, so we'll be there for a while. And after that, who knows!
