I have to teach Primary by MYSELF tomorrow! Dun dun dunnn. Michael got called into the YM's (teachers)...so I am on my own! Boooooo. I am slacking, dreading, and loathing in my own self pity instead of preparing my lesson. And it's almost midnight. Nice.
I have to admit...blogging is much more fun. But I have nothing to really blog about. So. You get to hear me complain.
Kthanksbye.

Megan is the Bestest
I was a weiner of the homemade contest on Megan A's blog. Hoorah! This cute cute mod podge Easter plate is what she made for me! So clever...It's glued on the bottom with clingy window stickers and purple tissue paper? I don't know...she can tell you for sure though. All I know is that I LOVE IT!

I don't know why blogger keeps auto rotating this picture the wrong way. Kind of annoying...but kinda neat that the candies aren't rolling away.
It was very helpful in holding all our Easter goodies! That there aren't much more of... hehe...
And I am glad to finally have something Eastery. I am seriously lacking in the Holiday decor department. I'm glad that my first Easter piece is so cute and handmade by one of my friend's mom/former YW leader!
Thank you Megan!
P.S. My weiners were Jamie H, Ashley E, Teresa M, Marianne P, Gayle H, and Sis Layton! And no, I won't make you do it again! So, I still haven't decided what I am going to make since I have to mail them all...but you'll get it within the next year! haha.

Spring Breaking It with Night sits and Hoppatus
Sorry I have left you with no news for quite awhile. It's been sunny in Portland, so I have been putting off my blogging! Aaaa...if only it would stay 80 degrees all summer.
So, Michael informed you all about our Red Rock hike when we visited Vegas. Our spring break was so fun! We stopped off in Star Valley before we hit Vegas and made some nightSTANDS. For the 2 years we've been married we've had too small of a room or haven't found ones we liked or didn't feel like paying a ton a money for crappy ones.
So here they are in all their beautiful faux 9 drawerness--there's really only 3 drawers.

Ta da! I think now we pretty much have Jana's old room--she's Michael's sister and the one that gave us the bed skirt and pillows, we bought the bed frame from her, and copied the style of her nightstands. Haha Thanks Jana!
Now all we need are lamps, the frame that lifts up our bed (we forgot it in Wyoming) and something to hang on the wall. I have our wedding pictures about ready to hang, but can't decide where to put them.
We were also graced with Olivia's awesome cuteness while in Star Valley. I guess this post is more of an Ode to Jana...thank you Jana for making such a cute little girl! We're excited for the next one! Anyhoo...watch and learn and be wooed by the cuteness. You can stop after the first 30 seconds...
I got to see my grandparents in Vegas. My grandma has Alzheimer's. She's funny, but most of all I am just glad she remembers who I am.
Jared (my brother) was somehow talked into driving to Vegas from Arizona by someone with superior persuasion skills and who can kick some fat butt on Wii boxing.

Then, we drove the 22-ish hours home. While listening to Twilight. And now that Michael has read all the books...I have to too.
The End.

I think he said his name is RAAAAAAALPH.
If anyone can tell me what movie that's from you're allowed to be my friend...if not...I might have to rethink our friendship.
For the last couple days I have been trying to deny that I am sick. I planted a garden with my neighbor, Bethany, 2 days ago all the while trying to disguise my need to ralph. And then I ralphed. I layed...laid...i don't know which one to use...around all day yesterday and somewhat felt better. Today I felt a tiny bit better and now it's back 1/2 force--for the love of all things furry, please don't be back full force. I hate being sick, and I make the worst sick person ever. And no, I am not pregnant.
This isn't a plea for pity. Please no "Hope you get better"s. I am just really bored and sick of being sick. Thanks for reading my whining. Hopefully future posts will be happy ones...about rainbows...or kittens that poop rainbows...or something...

No place like Gnome
Ah...well...I have some funny friends.
But, the truth is I rescued Corley. His kidnappers probably put some dull plastic kid safe scissors to his throat to make him write his "travel blog". I don't think Corley has even seen a pink flamingo in his entire life. He's not from Switzerland and he doesn't have any family. He's actually from a small factory in China. He was actually quite proud of it--he would get angry if I tried to remove that little golden oval sticker stuck to his bum.
He was meant to be adopted out by some upscale home and garden catalog, but the shipment he was in got knocked out the back of the truck and abandoned on the side of the road. Him and his clone mold buddies starved for weeks until some hairy cheapskate dollar store owning, bum-sniffin'-scratchin', bearded lady came along who thought she could sell these precious gnomes into slavery.
I saw Corley on the shelves of the scheming Honk's $1.05 store (I know! Who sells things for a dollar FIVE! At the time they claimed their $.05 raise on gas prices...lame...). I immediately fell in love. He told me about the bearded lady. At first I was a little grossed out that some bearded lady was all into little beared men, but I quickly got that mental picture out of my mind.
I couldn't believe what he was telling me! So, I scooped up Corley and his friends, Dudley and Daihbi and we were off like a dirty shirt. The three hung out in our basement apartment in Provo wreaking havoc, mooning passerbys, and hitting on anything female. I constantly had to remind them I was married. They were quite the partiers, until it was time to move to Star Valley--they had to be good for the in-laws! They were troopers though.
Now only the two sit together here in Portland, Oregon. They sure do miss Corley. He was their ring leader who would have never left his partying pals behind.

Red Rock Canyon
Yesterday we drove up to Red Rock Canyon and went for a hike.
Posing for a picture by the little waterfall.
I climbed under this rock and then decided that it might be a good place for snakes to hide.
This is me precariously hanging from a cliff.
Julie had the same encounter with the same cliff.
Julie posing for a picture on the trail.
