while in wyoming

I chased the chickens.

Ate popsicles.

Ate popsicles while chasing chickens.

Mowed the lawn.

Rode the dirt bike around.

Or just sat on it until I made Daddy take me for a ride.

Played in the water at Kyle and Kelsey's wedding.

And made Mama and Daddy leave the reception early with a sopping wet baby.

Overall it was a pretty dandy time.

hi!

We made it. Whew. With that being said, I never want to move again.

But we will. Eventually.

I'm already exhausted thinking about it. I'm going to save all my pennies so someone else can move all the boxes I labeled "crap" and "I don't remember".

This is what the house looks like right now. It's pretty nice. I think we'll leave it as is.

The fireplace.

The kitchen.

 The dining area.

The front door.

 Scarlett's bathroom sans toilet.

Master bathroom.

Master toilet.

That's not what it looked like when we got there...it was worse! Horrificly bland tile everywhere.

These pictures don't even do it justice. That is blue marbled tile, and it had dark grey grout. It puts a smile on my face to know that it's gone. Well, not really. All bajillion pounds of it is in our garage to be divvied up for the garbage man. We're making friends already!

Can't wait to see the remodel? Yeah, me too....

amidst all the packing.

Deep breaths.

Only 10 more days of Portland!

Can you believe it? Umm, yeah, you probably can...but I can't!

We've been packing, but we've been having fun!

Isn't it amazing how you will pack a box and it will spontaneously birth more crap?? I swear we pack "all that can be packed" until we actually move, and we end up packing 10 more boxes. No joke. And then Michael goes to drop stuff off at DI and comes back with just as much stuff. It's okay though–to see those tiny brown eyes light up when we took out her very own Scarlett-sized pink camping chair was so worth it.

Well, next time we talk, we may be in Vegas...

i poop melons.

boring post...

Sorry about the lag in blogdom from us. Add finding another job because the Vegas one fell through on top of packing up our apartment to who knows where on top of being out of town more than being home on top of actually getting the Vegas job on top of seriously packing because we're moving in less than a month on top of birthdays = PURE MADNESS. Oh man. It's so busy there aren't any pictures, plus no one wants to see I don't want anyone to see in what disarray our house is.

And holy crap balls. Where did 3 years go? Come mid September we're trading in these digs...

for these...

It is far from my dream city, but we'll be living in a house! Wahoo!

the story about the ant.

I was playing outside, because I like outside.

 ...and so does my crack.

Happy as a clam out there. Nothing beats a little dirt and some sun.

I saw these ants crawling on the wall.

It got on my finger, and I'll tell you right now, I am not a huge fan of ants.

So, I squished him.

 The end.

last minute

We always use to go on trips on a whim. To Star Valley, to WY state wrestling championships in Casper, to Vegas, to snowmobile in Wyoming, to climb a mountain in Wyoming, to go camping (sometimes in Utah...), to whatever. Then, we had Scarlett. Dun dun dunnnn. Anything major had to be written in on the calendar in permanent marker weeks in advance. Until last week.

Michael called his family to ask about something Wednesday morning, then all of a sudden in was 10 o'clock at night and we are in the car heading east to Wyoming. And Michael had only decided to go an hour and a half earlier.

It ended up being really good, except for the part where someone went rafting on the Snake and left someone else with a sleepy baby and no ride home at a reception hall. So, that one person should get the other person a really awesome birthday gift.

We got to see Megan, Michael's niece, get married. It was super pretty. Doesn't going to weddings make you want to get married all over again?

That was the biggest highlight of the 3 days we spent in Star Valley, but we had some fun doing other fun things too.

We met the horses, or "me-mo" as Scarlett calls them. She just kept pointing and laughing.

Feeding the chickens, which turns out is quite dangerous. Scarlett and I turned into a 1 headed, 2 bodied monster.

Getting bored with chickens and going back to the horses.

Taking a ride!

Rocks?!?! Yeah, we don't have those in Portland....

Chilling in the grass, eating free popcorn from True Value–one of the many perks of visiting Thayne.

One of the other "perks" of visiting SV is doing the laundry when you get home. Scarlett was a walking ball of dirt. I don't know if her onesie tank will ever be white again.

Well. I am going to get some sleep. Still haven't caught up on sleep from driving overnight twice. Plus, I did an all day garage sale and made a whopping $42.75. Anyone want a TV, dresser, or baby swing? I know you do...Plus, I know someone that might be willing to get you a good deal on a leather couch!
